24 hour drinking? Dunno what all the fuss is about!

Post by tomr6 »

Driving back from London last night (after seeing the gooners achieve a superb 3-0 win over Blackburn) and I got stopped by the police between Saltash and Landrake. Reason for stopping me? My car looked dirty! No kidding..........thats what the nice man said to me. He wanted to check my fuel tank for illegal diesel. I dont use it...Chip fat is much cheaper!

Now, I dont mind getting stopped randomly in my car as it balances the books against all the times I've been stopped on my bike. The purpose of this post is to make people aware of 2 things.

Firstly....Plod are now putting some emphasis on to stopping cars which means to me they are gonna fekkin hammer bikers whenever the decent weather comes back and all the fair weathers peeps are back on the road......watch your back.

Secondly....the good news is that we live in an area so safe and crime free that plod have fekk all else to do than check up on dirty cars at pub kicking out time on a Saturday night. 24 hour drinking? Dunno what all the fuss was about!

Next they'll have you for walking on the cracks in the pavement, or wearing a loud shirt after 11pm

Glad to hear you are a fellow gooner. Bit of a long way to travel though Tom. Thought you would have taken the easy journey to Home Park

Cannot believe Mr Plod pulled you over for having a dirty car. A dirty women in the back maybe, but not a dirty car

Tom I ALWAYS get pulled between saltash and landrake, ALL the time, especially on a friday and saturday night, late. Usually spot on carkeel roundabout. :(

I have been pulled for looking to small, etc etc. But the best one the other day, was I looked suspicious as my helmet is red...........yes good one, I know its red I bought it.

The majority of cars (and bikes) I see lately look dirty because of the weather and the build up of dirt on the roads that in turn builds up your car/bike

My car has been fairly dirty too because I commute up and down the A38 between Plymouth and Exeter on a regular basis.

I've never been pulled over by the police (aren't I a lucky girl :P )and I'm not a saintly driver either! Image

I probably will get pulled over now ! :?

i dont see the problem with getting pulled over on your bike, sure it's shite if you've been caught out. but everytime i have i havn't been doing anything wrong and it's quite satisfying watching them try to fault you and failing. It's nice to know because if someone was riding a stolen bike, the person might get it back.
i dont have a drinking problem.......if anything, i'm too good at it
