Bike test infomation?

Hey guys...
Just wondering about the bike test?
What are the rules for taking it?
Do you have to be a certian age to take it or have past experiance?

What cc can you ride after it and what hp.

there are a couple you can take:

Can take it on a 125, but then your restricted to 33bhp for two years after which you can ride any bike you like

Or

Direct Access which you take on a big boys bike and straight after which you can ride any bike you
like.

Thats not what I was told

. I always thought you could do the CBT at 16, then move up to a 125 at the age of 17. Or you could do the big bike test at 17 which then allows you to ride what ever bike you want. But after 2 years with the CBT licence it expires and you have to take it again or take the big bike test if you want to contiune riding. But the big bike test dosnt expire. Because I dont know how old you are Ill add in if your over 21 and have been driving since 17 you can ride a 50 with L plates

But I could be wrong.

at 16 u can do your cbt on a 50 and then wen ur 17 u can ride a restricted 125 some like 14.9 bhp??

at 17 or older with ur cbt u can take your restricted test (cheaper the full) and ride a 33bhp bike for two yrs then after the 2 yrs, the worlds ur oyster so to speak so at 19 u could ride any bike. this doesnt run out

at 21 or older u can take ur direct access which is expensive and they have lower pass rate but it lets you ride any bike you want unrestricted

my advice is do ur cbt see if u like riding bikes if u dont already then do your restricted test to get to learn things like cornering and bike control then after two yrs u can stick wth your bike or upgrade

i did my restricted test wen i was 17 and had a vfr400 (restricted

i'm 18 now and have a DR350 which i'll keep for a very long time even though i could ride a bigger bike this xmas as my 2 yrs will be up

Do i need much experiance to take my test then?
I mean could i do my CBT and then go striaight for my test?
Or do you recon i should play with a 125 for a year?

The bike test is the bike test! There is only one. The examiner doesn't care whether you are on a 125 or a 500.

Same goes for the theory test. There is only one motorcycle theory test.

You would be foolish to attempt the bike test without proper training as it is highly likely you would fail dismally.
