After 10 mins buying a new pair of sun glasses, i went back to the bike, pressed the starter button and..................nothing.....dead as a doe doe
I knew what was wrong by that point as i fitted a fan to my reg/rec yesterday afternoon so i rang the RAC to come and give me a jump start, then i waited.....and waited............and waited (it must of been about 25c today and i was waiting in a car park with no shade)...and waited..........i used £6.45 of credit chasing the RAC to find out what was going on......and waited some more, in fact it was over 4 hours until they arrived, which considering they told me the second time i spoke to them the wait was 2-3 hours, i was a little annoyed, but the fourth time i spoke to them (at 6.20pm) they said the bloke was 20 mins away.
At 7.40 pm the man arrived and asked what i needed, so i told him i needed a jump start and he had no clue what so ever as to how to jump start a bike from a donor battery so i showed him
Got back to work at 8pm, 2 hours late and after firstly ringing the RAC at 3.26pm
After work a mate jumped started the bike so i could get home, racing the dark because if i put the lights on, the bike would cut out (but re-bump itself back to life), checked the charging system and the battery was at 10.6v with no difference with the bike running
So guess what the problem was
