gixxer 600 k1 speedo

hi all, hoping somebody may be able to help me. has anyone had a problem with a gsx-r electronic speedo reading wrong? mine seems to be reading to slow, i havent changed the gearing or anything like that. i removed the insrument cluster to replace my headlamp bulbs and ever since this problem has arisen, ive checked the wiring and plug but cant see anything wrong! it does have a gear indicator fitted if that helps. any ideas guys? or where can i go from hear? its confusing the hell out of me. many thanks to anyone who can help.

Have you fiddled around the front sprocket area lately? if the pick-up is the same as the TL, the little castellated nut that bolts on top of the sprocket nut can be a bit fragile ... if one of the castellations is missing it will throw the speedo out
