Time to go Racing.

Me and the wife are off in the morning heading to Osch in Germany which is a 741 mile journey from our house.

We are on track on Wednesday for a whole days free practice in reperation for the race which starts on Saturday (24hr race)

We are in a bit of disaray for this race as we lost our 3rd rider today Jakob Smurz was our number 3 rider replcacing Glen Richards who has to race in the British superstock race on Sunday. Jakob was riding in the wsb race today but he crashed out of 16th in the 2nd race injuring his back.

Russell (team manager) is making lots of phone calls tonight seerching for a replacement.

Oh well we have a long drive ahead of us tomorrow.

will be back in a week.

You may laugh but, Phil Jessop (Ridgers of Bridgwater owner) stepped in for a local team at an endurance race at Alastro in Finland in 92ish. As one of there riders had injured himself.

He said he had an ACU International licence but didn’t have it with him. They couldn’t check as it was a Sunday and couldn’t contact the ACU so believed him! From memory he was also there fastest rider,

until he crash there ZXR out of the race.

I am Back

Well what a bloody hard weekend !

We lasted for 21 hours before the clutch nut fell off ! Thus causing the oil pump to loose drive, we repaired it but 10 laps later the engine went BANG. We had been having a great rae up untill then, We qualified 7th but we ran 2nd for abou 6 hours and 3rd for 12 hours untill it all went tits up.

We finaly found a spare rider by the name of Pedro Vallcaneras who has never raced outside of Spain, he arrived at the circuit at 3 am on thursday morning having missed free practice on Wednesday, Unfortunatly he was awoken at 5am by a phone call to say his Father had been in a car crash and had smashed his legs. This turned out to be not so bad as he only broke a leg below the knee and was ok apart from that.

Pedro was a star all week and during the race was posting lap times in the top 10 riders.

Oh well time to forget that race our next race is the Bol Dor in September.
