license issues...

i currently have a pink photo card license with a full motorcycle entitlement on but have no car categories on.
ive spoke to a few different people and they have given me different answers as to wether i can still learn to drive a car on this licenese.

a mate of mine had exactly the same on his license and still learnt to drive and passed his test as he said having a pink photo card licenese meant that it autiomatically acts as a provisional for a car

others have said i ned to send my license away to get a car provisional put on it.

anybody know the truth behind it?

Would it not be easier to phone DVLA and ask them. Straight from the horses mouth so to speak!

The letter codes on the back of the card should tell you what vehicles you can drive/ride/learn.

Try googling it to find out what they mean.

As far as i remember, provisional car entitlement would be included on a bike license...i hope so anyway!

with thanks to mr baskie, i have looked at the paper part of my license and it does say that i have the car entitlement on there, stupid how they dont have it on the plastic too,thanks for your help everyone!

I am 99.999% positive you cannot learn unless the entitlement is on your photo card.. need to send off for them to be added
