whats the best thing you've done???

Post by julian »

Lets have a positive thread !!!

What’s the best thing you’ve done !!!. Something that’s made you happy, euphoric, proud, or just given you enormous satisfaction.

To make it more difficult, you can’t say its when you got married/divorced, had kids or buried your mother in law  . Or any kind of sexual activity

I found it quite hard to think of what to say, I could include winning football cup finals, track days, or learning to ride a bike. But I’m going for….

Playing guitar in a band 8) , on a fully rigged stage at a festival 8) . I didn’t learn to play until late in ( my ) life and I was the slowest learner ever..... and I‘m still crap !!!!! So to get on stage and play in that kind of gig when I never imagined i ever would, counts as one of the best things I’ve done :D :D .

Mine easy. Getting my full bike licence back. It was removed off my licence when I had an acident at work years ago cos my car and GHV licence have restirctions on them that insist that the vehicles have to have steering adaptions on them so I can drive with only my left hand and still operate all the controls. My bike is a normal one and to pass a normal test and technically be able to ride any bike I like feels really good. :D

Not being allowed to count sexual activity cuts it short a bit but probably me stripping down my GS1000 to component parts then rebuilding it and it firing up first time and running like a dream, for me that was a real achievement or perhaps coming third out of 400 in the River Trent coarse fishing championships only beaten by a couple of the top anglers in England and picking up £300 in prize money :) :) :)

Hard to pick one specific thing, but perhaps silly to say I think buying my first bike (an ex-rental CG125) :D

It was a truly life-changing moment. From that little action, it has given me so many different experiences, emotions, etc., allowed me to meet many wonderful (and not so wonderful) people, was the trigger to meeting my wife, has taken me all over europe, etc., etc., etc., ...... 8)
Of all the things I have ever lost, I miss my mind the most .....

Best thing I've ever done

Recently it's been to part from the money grabbing, controlling ex-missus, her son, ex-husband and their interferring families. Cost alot of money but I've got my own place back and looking forward to more biking again winter & summer!!!

Best things for me would have to be moving out of London, cos it's a [Censored] shit hole toilet, closely followed by a freefall parachute jump, and then my first ever race which was at Snetterton on my Yam TZR 250! My first ever mile long wheelie has to be up there in the rankings as well
