Wierdest was on a train at night in an empty carriage...was fine until a smelly old tramp walked in and sat about 2 seats down staring at us while we made ourselves presentable!

OK for a start I have had a last minute reprieve, several of my older siblings have clubbed together to lend me the £650 so the bike can stay. However it'll be off the road for about a month til I have the cash to get the chain/sprockets done and get it MoT'd. The rent is £325 per month each which i...

Financial Help...
Morning all. I'm hoping a few people on here have experience of what I'm going through atm. Basically, my landlord for next year is one of my friends parents. They have bought a large house for 8 of us to live in. They had problems with the purchase and so didn't tell us how much they would be charg...

I took it back today finally and he took the caliper off and cleaned everything, the rag went black then he stuck it on the rolling road to do a brake test and rode it up and down the carpark. Managed to lock the front brake so assured me it was working! I rode around town and it was much much bette...

Cheers, I'll take it back tomorrow. Will put on my nicest voice, last thing I wanna do is piss off the local garage when I'm gonna need them for another 2.5yrs! Even had some shuddering tonight, feels like the pads are sticking or something. I wouldn't ride it by choice but it's my only transport so...

I've got the bike back, only £53.50 altogether which is much better than I thought. £12.23 for the pads..more than I expected for just one set but bearable. £30.50 for an hours labour...this is amazingly cheap! I'm used to paying £50! Was awesome being able to ride it again and actually use the rear...

Wow this topic really took off! I love many many many bikes but Dukes just do something for me, especially the 1098. The new lower servicing costs and increased reliability make them even more attractive. Anyone who knows me will tell you that I'm not a big fan of sports bikes at all yet the 1098 se...

Yeh I'm planning on building up my tools slowly, my dad has several duplicates of most things but I haven't got round to trolling through his dozens of toolboxes to find them. Money is the limiting factor at the mo, the internet is the best place to find individual spanners and the like but they are...
